Welcome to Reel Movie Thoughts! The movies on our site are rated in one of three ways: (1) a short, in-a-nutshell written critique of the film; (2) a numeric rating based on entertainment value; and (3) a numeric rating based on award-worthiness value. For example, a movie might be an entertaining, brain candy and delightful film but it will probably not win any major film awards. Conversely, a film might be an incredible, award-worthy and thought provoking movie but not an entertaining movie in the conventional sense of entertainment. Based on the three different review types, hopefully you will be able to find a movie that is right for you.
This site will review movies that are currently in the theaters as well as old movies. The movies reviewed will be in a broad base of categories including action and adventure, animation, children and family, classics, comedy, crime and gangster, drama, documentary, epic and historical, foreign, horror, independent, musical and performing arts, mystery and suspense, romance, science fiction and fantasy, thrillers, war and western.
